L'Oreal Paris Hydra-Total 5 - Trying Something New

I love free things, I'd be crazy if I didn't, and that's where Influenster comes in.  A super awesome website, that allows you to review your favorite products, and from time to time, they'll even send you free products to review.  Which brings me to this post - I got my latest VoxBox last month of a new set of products for skin care.

I should start by saying, for the last 2 years, I finally found a company that had a line of products that actually worked for my skin, and I liked using (Simple), so as excited as I was to try L'Oreal's Hydra Total 5 I was a bit nervous.

So here we go - a deep dive into my new products. #5Works #BeyondHydration

Ultra Even Scub - I love finding a new scrub to try, they're great for removing dead skin, and giving you a clean surface to look after.  The downside, overuse can irritate the skin (you don't want to scrub away the happy healthy alive cells), which means another cleanser product needs to be used in the mean time.

This scrub was really nice on my skin, but I could only use it at most once a day, if not every couple of days.  Because the Ultra Even line of the Total 5 does not come with a basic cleanser like the other lines I had to use my regular cleanser from SIMPLE.
That was my biggest disappointment with the Ultra Even line, they provided 2 types of moisturizers, but only a cleanser scrub.  Other wise it was a fairly decent product I am happy to keep in my regime every few days.

Ultra Even Toner - Most people don't know the importance of toner, and will often skip it, claiming it will just dry their skin out.  Using it properly is one of the most important steps in proper skin care.

One of my favorite things about the Ultra Even line is the citrus scent - it makes taking care of your skin a little more fun.  I find this specific toner, does what it needs to and isn't to harsh on my skin, and with an added bonus of smelling good, I don't mind using it.

Ultra Even Lotion SPF 20 - As mentioned earlier the Ultra Even line comes with 2 types of moisturizers, this one, and the 24 hour moisturizer.  I find this one is good to use during the day, with the added SPF it adds a little help, no matter how small.  And it does well under foundation.  The other good thing is it doesn't require a lot of lotion to moisturize the skin, one pump is more than enough.

Ultra Even Moisturizer - This is the second of 2 similar products I received as part of the Ultra Even Line.  I found this one had a thicker slightly different feel to it than the lotion.  What I wound up doing was using it as a night cream on my skin.  If I'm being honest, I didn't really notice any difference in my skin, but it certainly wasn't worse off from using it.

-----------------

As you can see, these products all have positives as well as some maybe not so great features.  However I am greatful for receiving the products for free to try.  These are soley my opinions and not those of anyone else.
